Barry Moore BSc (Hons.) MSc CPhys EPA CPA

Barry is a European Patent and Trade Mark Attorney and a Chartered Patent Attorney. Entering University College Dublin as an Entrance Scholar, he graduated with an undergraduate degree in Experimental Physics and a postgraduate degree in Applied Physics.

Having worked for a campus company and as a research scientist prior to becoming a patent attorney, Barry is a Chartered Physicist. A member of LES since 1998, Barry has served on the Committee of the Irish Section of LES as Treasurer and Chairperson. He has partaken in strategy groups advising the Irish Government on Research, Development and Innovation, and sat on the Irish Government Task Force advising on nanotechnology. He has also advised European Members of Parliament on EU Patent Directives. He is a named inventor on US 6028663 and specialises in patents relating to electronics, semiconductors, MEMS structures, optics, software and communications systems and is also active in obtaining protection for consumer appliances.
