Catherine Hanratty BSc MSc EPA RTMA

Catherine is a European Patent Attorney and a Registered Trade Mark Attorney. She graduated from Queens University Belfast with an honours degree in physics and a Masters Degree in Optoelectronics and Optical Information Processing. She also has Postgraduate Diploma in Library and Information Studies from University College Dublin. Prior to joining Hanna Moore & Curley, she spent several years with another firm of Patent Attorneys in Dublin and before that several years as an Examiner in the European Patent Office where she specialised in the technical field of 'electronics-image communication systems'.

Prior to her involvement with patents, Catherine held a variety of positions including Project Manager in the School of Management Studies at Oxford University and as a Research Assistant at Loughborough University. Catherine currently specialises in the patenting of opto-electronics, physics and mechanical devices.
